STELLA MARE Platform

The 3514 STELLA MARE Unit (Sustainable TEchnologies for LittoraL Aquaculture and MArine REsearch) focuses on ecological engineering on coastlines and at sea. It is part of a project dynamics that aims at changing research into wealth. This Unit has been accredited by the CNRS since June 2011 and is linked to the INstitut Ecologie et Environnement (INEE) – (Ecology and Environment Institute).

The STELLA MARE UMS aims at controlling and managing Corsica fish and coastline resources to enable technological innovations to be transferred to sea professionals and help them value and diversify their productions, but also manage their resources through responsible fishing and sustainable aquaculture. The scientific project of the laboratory focuses on research, transfer, and awareness raising and is organised through 14 research programmes.
